´╗┐Justin Gatlin After all, there are the same effects as blood spinning as there is spending a few weeks/months training in places like the Andes or the Alps but only one is considered as cheating. the controversy of the French complaining that GB Cycling team having ultra round wheels in London 2012 even though they were made by a French company. There may also be arguments that under non political correctness terms is called Eugenics. why you never bet against East Africans in Long distance events, Jamaicans and Americans in Sprint events. In terms of the original premise I don't think that there has been nike golf hat any studies on the long term effects of doping so if someone was to take Steroids between the ages of 17 to 21 do they gain an advantage that they would not have normally have had after 25. Athletes with teams of sports scientists and nutritionists presumably working within the rules to come up with compounds and substances athletes can legally take to aid recovery and enhance performance. These benefits results from the vast investment made by the likes of Nike rather than the individual discipline and dedication of the athlete. So their success is not solely down to athletic ability. I can draw a parallel to cricket. The West Indies dominated the international game from the late 1970s to mid 1990s. In England, they even went as far as banning the musical instruments West Indian supporters bought into grounds and made substantial increases in ticket prices. The strategy worked. Returning to athletics, it is a meritocracy, it is not the best who win. It is about money, resources and support. rather than allowing some performance enhancing substances and banning others, I would go the opposite direction to what most are saying and say have no restrictions. I pretty much lost interest in athletics after Marion Jones. It's no longer inspirational and has become commodified. Money rules! I train and see guys who can lift far more than me and who have massive muscle development. They motivate me, to an extent, but not that much because I'm proud the only supplement I take is a vegan rice protein and then only two teaspoons three days a week. In other words, I don't like drugs in athletic performance, but what I dislike even more are arbitrary and rules that can't be enforced. I won my school and area 100m and 200m, and did so drug free. My younger brother had much more athletic prowess, won a lot more and was also drug free. Don't really care about the rest. The pure issue is That this guy failed a drug test TWICE and yet people say fair dues WTF!!! If this guy was chinese there would be a different view. the rank hypocrisy of nike shoes houston American athletics has now reached a critical point. he fact is no long term study has been done on sustained abuse of these drugs but hey lets not talk about FLO JO. The rank ignorance and hypocrisy displayed by certain posters on this issue is frankly disturbing and maybe the west needs to start setting standards again instead of flouting them. My children will be told that if some moron coach offers them a chemical solution to a problem walk because life outside of the track/ring is more important than winning medals for suits. Caught once, 5 year ban Caught twice, lifetime However if people are more nike shoes preschool interested in short term gain for medals surely we as a public have reduced ourselves to spectators at the Colosseum. To put it into context all Olympic trainers know now its endemic and its only a question of how good/sophisticated the steroids are. Cycling was busted but now its laid bare that yet another American athlete is flouting any standards but hey lets criticise the Chinese and the Jamaicans . With the Olympics less than a 100 days away WADA have retested Samples from Beijing and London. They have concentrated on those athletes that are likely to be at Rio. It is alledged (still waiting for confirmation from the B Sample) that Beijing has 31 positives from 6 sports and 12 nations. Russia has stated have stated that 14 athletes were theirs. What is not clear is the number of medals that are under threat. There are also issues from Jamaica (not Bolt) This month there is a discussion regarding Russia's inclusion in the games especially if the IAAF ban continues along with the likes of Kenya who have also have been weak in anti doping enforcement.
