Women recruiting game gets younger Augusta, Ga It's another big week of basketball in and around the area with the Nike Nationals and the ladies headlining the action. It's not the only game in town as many other gyms are busy with off shoot events, one of them, shows how the recruiting game has changed. It's the Future Stars USA invite only event. Unlike summer leagues, this brings in the top 8th and 9th graders in the country and put them on various teams. From Oregon and California and pretty much all points in between, these young women are hoping to catch the early eye of college coaches. "Women's basketball, with all its exposure the kids are getting now a days with the nike hi trainers TV exposure, it's just getting younger and younger and you have to start recruiting these kids a lot younger so when we are trying to showcase an event and put a nike j crew killshot show on for them and you do good things for the kids, to make them want to get better." said Harry Elifson Just looking around the gym, you can tell, most of the big name programs were on hand to see what the future might bring and judging nike n7 from the talent on the court, it's only getting better.
